Aloe ‘Christmas Sleigh’ is a compact hybrid succulent known for its festive coloration and textured foliage. It forms tight rosettes of thick, pointed leaves, making it an eye-catching addition to any succulent collection.
This cultivar is a hybrid derived from Aloe species native to southern Africa. Like its parent plants, it is adapted to arid environments with bright light and minimal water.
Aloe ‘Christmas Sleigh’ produces slender flower spikes that rise above the rosette, typically in winter to early spring. The flowers are tubular and usually display shades of coral, red, or orange, creating a vibrant contrast against the darker foliage. These blooms can attract pollinators such as hummingbirds in outdoor settings.

Prefers bright, indirect light to full sun. Strong sunlight enhances its rich red and green tones, while insufficient light may result in duller coloration and looser growth.
Thrives in temperatures between 60–80°F (16–27°C). It prefers warm conditions and should be kept above 50°F (10°C).
Requires well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix. Adding sand, pumice, or perlite improves drainage and keeps roots healthy.
Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Reduce watering in cooler months to prevent overwatering and root rot.
-
Best suited for USDA zones 9–11. It is not frost-tolerant and should be protected or grown indoors in colder climates.
